Former Lyon, West Ham, Tottenham, Sevilla striker Frederic Kanoute finished his professional career.
Malian played his farewell match in Seville at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. The game was attended by former teammates. The stadium attracted 32 thousand spectators. All money raised from the match, football will help children in Mali. After the game, Kanoute was awarded the gold medal from the Andalusian Federation of football.
Interestingly, Kanouté was named the 2007 African Footballer of the year.
