Steven Gerrard: “What England did not consider the front-runner to play us at hand”

England captain Steven Gerrard had shared views on the forthcoming Euro-2012. 

“England my generation dubbed the “Golden Generation”, and from tournament to tournament goods all expectations grew and grew. We were favorites of any major tournament. 

But perhaps precisely because we have not won anything and now we don't expect too much. Who knows, it could play into the hands of the us. It would be silly to now talk about some specific goals for Euro-2012. Of course, all in England's dreaming about winning, but talking about it now is unwise.
