Andrea Pirlo: “Out of Milan, because Allegri would like to change my position”

Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo said about the root cause of his departure from Milan last year. 

“During the negotiations I was offered to extend the contract for one year, while I insisted on a three year agreement. But the main reason for my resignation was another. He wanted to use Ambrosini and van Bommela instead of me in position in front of the defence. This meant that I would have to change position. So I said, “no thank you”. 

Chose Juventus because he is more interested in me in the sport. My transfer was not motivated by financial reasons”, - quoted Pirlo Gazzetta dello Sport.
