Giovanni Trapattoni: “Such stories denigrated Italian football”

Ireland coach Giovanni Trapattoni has commented on the information about the new scandal around the Treaty matches in Italy.
“Without doubt, this is terrible news. What would be the reaction of Italian national team? On the one hand, such conduct can have a huge impact on overall mood of the team.
On the other hand, these events may push them to come together and show another side of Italian football, clean. I must say that these stories we create a terrible image of our football team”, - quoted Trapattoni The Guardian.
Recall under suspicion are Lazio midfielder Stefano Mauri, Zenit Defender Domenico Criscito and Juventus coach Antonio Conte.
