FC Barcelona’s President Josep Maria Bartomeu, sports director Robert Fernandez and fellow of the Catalan club Raul Sanlei are planing to meet soone with striker Neymar’s father to discuss the terms of the contract extension.
The key role in the negotiation process will play Sanlei, which is considered as an expert in such matters. The main idea of the meeting is to make Brazilian footballer as second player with so high salary. Neymar in this matter will be only onward from Messi. At the moment, Neymar's salary is € 7 million, and it is not only less than Messi’s salary, but also less than midfielder Andres Iniesta’s one. Messi earns over € 20 million per year, and Neymar seeks to double his salary. As regards the amount of the compensation for the transfer, it is € 190 million.
