Roma are sixth with 44 points

Argentine-born Italy striker Pablo Osvaldo scored with an angled shot three minutes in, while Rodrigo Palacio hit the crossbar with Genoa's best opportunity in the 71st. Roma kept alive its hopes of returning to the UEFA Champions League with a 1-0 win over Genoa in Serie A on Monday. Roma's run in Europe this season ended in August with a Europa League play-off loss to Slovan Bratislava.
With the win, Roma moved within four points of third-placed Lazio, who hold the last UEFA Champions League qualifying spot. Lazio have 48 points, Napoli and Udinese are next with 47 each, while Roma are sixth with 44. The match moved to Monday due to a conflict with the Italy-Scotland rugby match at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.
