Arsenal striker Robin van Persie did not intend to negotiate a contract extension with the team until the end of UEFA EURO 2012, reports the BBC.
According to the source, the London Club intends to obtain a response from the England immediately after the end of the Championship of England. The current agreement lasts until the summer of 2013.
Earlier, Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger said the Club could not afford to lose the van Persie. Last week reported that interest in holandese is Juventus.
Recall, Van Persie was voted player of the year in England's professional footballers Association.
