The goalkeeper of Greek Club Veria Stelios Markusis died during the training of the team.
18-year-old Stelios on Wednesday, 2nd of September, lost consciousness and fell to the turf during the training of the Club. Later, Markusis was taken to the Hospital of Verea, where doctors were unable to save his life. It is reported that the football player was diagnosed with a heart attack.
Recently, the goalkeeper played for the Club's youth team and was recently invited to training with the basic composition of Verea, serving in the strongest League in Greece.
