Barcelona is negotiating to extend the contract with the 28-year-old Javier Mascherano. The sides are close to an agreement that would lead to the conclusion of the contract up to June 30, 2016 onwards.
Argentinian Mascherano moved to FC Barcelona in 2010, from Liverpool. His current contract with blue-pomegranate is up to June 30, 2014 years.
